A Santa Letter for Noah, Plus a Boatload of Christmas Cards

I received this message on Friday night on Facebook…from a very dear friend.  Honestly, I tried not to look at it.  It’s very easy to ignore these things when there is so much to do!  Too easy to ignore and say ‘it’s not my problem’… But I glanced, and then I read, and then I went back and read it again…This is what it said:

A family has a 5 yr old son Noah. He is in the last stages of a 2 1/2 yr battle with Cancer. The family is celebrating Christmas next week and Noah’s request is to get lots of Christmas cards. Lets get him some, please send cards to: Noah Biorkman 1141 Fountain View Circle… South Lyon, Mi 48178 Lets see how many cards we can get to this little guy. Please pass this on!

Now, I have a 5 year old little boy who is my heart, and this message was so painful to me that I cried a river, and I don’t even know this little guy.  I cannot even fathom what this family must be going through.

After I read the post, another good friend of mine called to tell me of Noah, and asked if he could send a Santa letter to him.  I said of course.  And he did.

Now, I know this blog is supposed to be cheery and about the Holiday Season… about telling our own kids how wonderful they are and making their dreams come true.  But please, through my tears I write and I ask you:

Please send a card this week to Noah.  Make this little guys last wish a great one.  This really got me in the heart.  Keep him in yours as well.

Thank you.
